Hey guys
So I have a NVIDEA 9800 GT, duo core intel t5800
I am currently getting 35 fps on the load up screen, I have done the processes thing, changed the setting ingame to all low, and I am still stumped. So I dont know anymore. I will be on probily tommorow night if anyone can help it would be great

It's cause it's a laptop. You might not actually be able to run it period with that. You have to remember that a 9800 GT in a laptop is nowhere near what a 9800 GT is is a desktop. Not to mention that processor isn't nearly the same either.

Probably not adequate being as it's a laptop. Just my opinion tho, someone else tell him what's what if I'm way off the mark.

Talking to Sky and Gigy last night, gigy is playing on macbook, with roughly the same specs as mine so.... It is dooable lol. Just might need some help fixing setting ect...

Also, don't really judge it off what your fps is in the loading screen. Not accurate. Wait til you get in game, then tell me what happens. And if you can stay solid at about 40 fps or more, you should be okay.

it is doable to play on a laptop as i am, i wil post my system specs on plaids thread but right now i cant remember my exact frames but nordy im thinking it might be your processor because it seems to be on the low end. also im thinking it might be compatibility issues with that graphics card because super has the same one and is getting really low frames as well.

Good luck! I think you'll love BC2 once you get to play. I think it rocks....it's totally addicting. It's easy to pick up for us infantry-only players of BF2 because most of the game is centered on infantry battles with some vehicles thrown in. Plus it helps that the vehicles don't completely dominate the battlefield like they could in BF2.

Ohh Cartman, my roommate has BFBC2 for PS3 live,.. so I play multi on that, and I LOVE it. Thats 1 reason it pissed me off with my computer, cuz it is so addicting.. I play the game every day, just not with the clan, which makes me sad... but at least I can play it though.. I have to get my computer fixed so I can play BF2 also, but that wont be until early next week, when I can afford to take it to the shop.. too many problems with this damn computer lol

Okay, first off, there is no menu that comes up when you press Q anymore. It's just like, point your crosshairs at whatever you want to spot, press Q, and it spots it, there's no more selecting things to say or do from the menu that comes up.
Secondly, VOIP is spotty at best in the game right now, so most of us don't even use it, we stick to TS.
Thirdly, I haven't a clue what to tell you about your thumb buttons. Maybe your mouse software isn't compatible with BC2 or something? I've never really gone into that sort of thing before, so I don't really know what I can tell you

I was thinking about downloading it (decided not to) and asked at war is hell how it ran for people who downloaded it, and they said everything ran smoothly.

Thanks heath. didn't know about the lack of menu. No book to read on this one 
Guess I'm effed on the mouse thing. Liked to use the the thumb button to crouch, but, oh well.
